The following players made the Varsity (names) and JV (numbers). Coach Sandburg and I would like to thank all 65 JV and Varsity candidates for trying out. Each year we find that the talent in the Mt. Pleasant area gets better and better, therefore the selection process gets more and more competitive. We encourage all players who did not make our Wando teams to continue to play this life-long game with club, on the beach or in the grass.
If your name or number is below, please plan on attending practice on Tuesday, July 31 from 9-11. Also please upload your birth certificate if you have not already done so.

On April 18, 2018, the NCAA Division I Council adopts legislation that official visits (visits funded by the institution) can begin Sept. 1 of a prospect’s junior year in high school instead of the first day of classes for senior year (football and basketball will continue to have their own separate rules).
Additionally, athletics departments cannot participate in a recruit’s unofficial visit (visit funded by the family) until Sept. 1 of the recruit’s junior year in high school. Also, recruiting conversationsduring a school’s camp or clinic are prohibited before Sept. 1 of the junior year. If adopted, as anticipated, by the NCAA Board of Directors on Wednesday April 25, the unofficial visit legislation will be EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
This new recruiting model allows potential student-athletes more time to make thoughtful decisions about their next steps after high school. These visit regulations apply to all sports, except football and basketball who have their own restrictions. The changes were supported by the national Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
If you have questions about unofficial visit plans for a specific prospect, please reach out to the college coach or have the student-athlete or her/his parent reach out. In volleyball, it is still legal for the prospect or her/his parents to initiate contact with a DI college staff.
