Wando Sports Medicine

Wando Sports Medicine is a group of individuals who are concerned about the care and prevention of athletic injuries. The Athletic Training Room is located in the Northwest Corner of Wando High School in room G-114, across from the weight room. This is the health care center for injured athletes and is usually open Monday-Friday 7:30-5:00. The hours of operation during the evenings and weekends vary according to the Wando Athletic Team Schedules. 

The program is led by Mark Buchman and Peg Martschink, Nationally Certified Athletic Trainers and fulltime members of the Wando High School staff. Other members of the staff include college interns from the College of Charleston and high school student trainers.

Dr. Murray Thompson of Adolescent Medicine is our Team Physicia. He is board certified in "Sports Medicine" and has been a member of the Wando Sports Medicine Team for many years.
